Why does my dog go crazy when we sweep the floor?
My Australian Shepherd goes crazy every time we sweep the floor. Doesn't matter what we use to sweep or where -- dust mop on the livingroom floor, broom in the kitchen, broom on the front porch -- she always barks and attacks the broom/dust mop like she wants to play with it. My question is - why? Any ideas? Thanks.
Haha, it is fun....sometimes it is annoying, but then we find ourselves laughing at her. She's deaf too, so we have to get her attention visually to tell her "no" -- hard to do when she's chasing after the mop.
Oh well.
Because she's a dog and she's playing. My Belgian shepherd puppy loves playing with the broom or feather duster if he gets the chance!
Ritual of opening up the house to the new season (baltmoresun)
The people who sell the bleach, detergents, trash bags, brooms and brushes
love to see me coming this time of the year. For two or three weekends, I've
been lugging the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. I've already totaled
one shop vac filter because I did not know you have to remove it before use on
a watery Baltimore cellar floor still showing the effects of March's rains and
the February thaw.
