how reliable are the tools used to measure ph levels that are simply you stick in the ground and it reads??
have seen the soil test kit where you send it to a labratory as well as i have seen the one that you find out yourself.
however, this one that i have is simply one that you stick in the ground and it supposedly reads the ph level through two metal prongs .
is this very accurate at reading the ph level for anyone who knows?
why and how so?

it doesnt require any batteries either, so was curious as to how it functions, for anyone who could explain it to me as well.
They are a waste of time.
You are far better off identifying all your plants that grow well and looking up what type of soil they like. It will be pretty obvious after 4 or 5 plants.
This will give a far more accurate indication.
